About
I have been heavily involved in the arts from a young age. Even as a toddler I would dance around the piano when my mom was practicing, hoping to be able to play some of music that she could.
I began piano lessons at six years old. I continued taking lessons throughout school and completed my Grade 10 from the Royal Conservatory of Music and my Grade 4 History and Harmony in music theory. I also studied music history as elective classes at the University of Saskatchewan while completing by Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English.
In theatre I have been part of over 30 productions at school, university, and community levels. I have had many acting roles and have also directed a number of productions. I performed in speech arts at festival for eight years.
Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Education and have over eight years of experience being a classroom teacher in both middle and high school settings in a variety of subjects. This experience is invaluable in being able to adapt to and encourage any student.
I also hold a Master of Arts in History and have written a short history of the formative years of the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
